Since our founding, we have built a strong technical team with diverse backgrounds and work closely with research institutes, infrastructure investors, and consultants to innovate, optimize, and deliver advanced solutions and products.
TG holds a B.Sc. in Metal Processing from Chongqing University (CQU), one of the leading institutions in the field. He has held key technical positions in the Bridge Component Manufacturing Division under China’s Ministry of Transportation (MOT). In the 1990s, TG led delegations on behalf of the MOT to establish partnerships with MAURER, MAGEBA, and D.S. Brown for the technical import of expansion joint systems, significantly advancing China's bridge expansion joint technology to align with international standards.Also a successful entrepreneur, TG supported Darcy in founding the IEC Inc, he is retired but continues to contribute as a Principal Consulting Engineer, focusing on metal material processing and participates in R&D projects. He also serves as President Emeritus of IEC Inc.
Darcy is a Ph.D candidate and part time researcher in Engineering Mechanics from China State Key Laboratory for GeoMechanics and Deep Underground Engineering, and holds an M.Sc. in Information Systems from the University of Warwick, along with a B.Sc. in Control Engineering from Chongqing University (CQU). He has extensive IST experience as a consultant for IBM, Capgemini, and Deloitte Consulting after 2 years of working in USL, the leading company of Expansion Joints systems in the UK, and founded IEC Inc., with support from TG, his father.In addition to his role as president of the company, as an innovation enthusiast, he acts as product development manager and dedicates both company resources and personal time to R&D activities and lab works. Darcy is the inventor and patent holder(40+ patents) of the TWINSA system.
Jason Wang, Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University, is a founding key member of IEC Inc. and a former Senior Engineer specializing in Bridge Besign and Seismic Analysis. At IEC, he leads the R&D, technology, and QHSE teams—overseeing more than 60 members—and manages seismic product projects.
Sheen, who holds a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University of Cambridge, joined IEC Inc. in 2021 after gaining extensive experience in engineering design in London, focusing on mechanical design and structural analysis. At IEC, he leads a team of five structural engineers, aligns R&D efforts with structural engineering goals, approves structural solutions, and oversees the recently established Brisbane R&D center.
Meng, with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from SWJTU and over 12 years of experience, is a founding member of IEC specializing in mechanical product design for joints, bearings, and seismic devices in line with AASHTO, EN, BS, and JIS standards. At IEC, he oversees technical aspects of international projects, ensuring compliance with global standards while managing project teams and fostering innovation in structural engineering solutions.
Henry, with an M.Sc. in Control Engineering and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), brings over 15 years of experience from IBM as a Senior Engineer in data analysis and software development. At IEC Inc., he leads a team of five in developing IoT systems for the TWINSA platform and digital twin solutions and oversees the IT department.
Shawn is an M.Sc. candidate in Mechanical Engineering at SWJTU, with over 25 years of expertise in expansion joint systems. He has applied for more than 20 patents related to modular and finger joint systems and has successfully completed over 10 large-displacement joints projects exceeding 1000 mm. As founding key member, Shawn is responsible for the final approval of all joint designs at IEC Inc..
John, holding an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from SWJTU, brings over 20 years of experience in designing and analyzing load-bearing components, including Mega-newton bearings over 100MN and advanced metal/viscous damper systems. As a founding member of IEC Inc., he has led and managed over 20 major projects and is responsible for the final approval of all bearing-related designs
Research coordinator Jerry holds a B.Sc. in Applied Mechanics from Sichuan University and has over 15 years of experience in R&D management and Lab management. At IEC Inc., Jerry manages the Project Management Office (PMO) and oversees the execution of all R&D projects
Yi Pu, an expert in high-reliability Polymer materials for high-speed trains with a focus on formulation development and experimental validation, joined IEC Inc. in 2018. At IEC, he leads a team of four engineers dedicated to developing polymer products
