Six Bridges in the Riau Archipelago, Indonesia

As part of a regional development initiative, six bridges were constructed in the Riau Archipelago to improve connectivity and economic integration across the islands. Completed in 2019, the project highlights the region's focus on modern infrastructure.

IEC designed and supplied 12 sets of spherical bearings for these bridges, adhering to the EN1337 standard. Using high-pressure-resistant UHMWPE sliding material, this project demonstrated IEC’s expertise in incorporating specialized materials into bearing design for international projects, further solidifying its reputation in the global market.
