Huangni Liangzi Bridge, National Highway 227, Salt Source to Miyi, Sichuan Province, China
Located approximately 200 meters upstream of the Huangni Ping Ferry crossing the Yalong River, the Huangni Liangzi Bridge connects Liangshan Prefecture’s Salt Source County with Miyi County in Panzhihua. The project spans 1.8 kilometers, with a 626-meter bridge (500-meter main bridge and 126-meter approach bridge) and a 1,210-meter access road. Built to tertiary highway standards, the 12-meter-wide bridge and 7.5-meter-wide roadway are designed for speeds of 30 km/h, with a total investment of ¥390 million.
IEC provided tension-compression bearings with anti-tensile, compressive, and adjustable height features, ensuring the structural reliability of this critical project. As part of the National Highway 227 and Sichuan’s trunk road network, the bridge significantly shortens the distance between Salt Source and Miyi, benefiting over 100,000 residents in the region and enhancing connectivity within the national and regional road networks.
