Linyi People’s Hospital is a crucial healthcare facility in Shandong Province, dedicated to providing state-of-the-art medical services to the local community. In 2022, this hospital prioritized the safety and structural resilience of its infrastructure by incorporating advanced seismic technology. IEC was tasked with designing and fabricating 98 units of pendulum friction bearings, which serve as base isolators to protect the building against seismic disturbances.

These friction pendulum systems (FPS) by IEC are specifically engineered to allow controlled movements during earthquakes, thereby minimizing structural stress and potential damage. This installation not only enhances the hospital’s emergency responsiveness but also underscores IEC's role in integrating innovative seismic protection technologies in healthcare infrastructure, ensuring patient and staff safety in earthquake-prone areas.
