Jinsha River Bridge, Yunnan Province, China

The Jinsha River Bridge is a key infrastructure project in Yunnan Province, crossing one of China’s most challenging and dynamic river systems. The bridge is designed to facilitate high-capacity traffic flow while also withstanding the environmental and seismic stresses typical of the region. As a critical part of the transportation network, the bridge’s design required specialized engineering solutions to ensure both durability and safety under dynamic loads.

In 2019, IEC played an integral role in the success of this project by supplying 26 sets of super-large spherical bearings, each equipped with advanced lock-up devices. These bearings are designed to provide robust support and stability for the bridge, while the lock-up devices offer added protection by locking the bearings in place during seismic or extreme load events. IEC's custom-engineered solutions ensured the structural integrity of the bridge, contributing to its long-term performance and resilience in the face of both environmental challenges and high-load traffic conditions.
