Ouya Boulevard, Xi'an, Shanxi Province, China
Ouya Boulevard, a major infrastructure project in Xi’an, serves as a critical transportation link between the South Third Ring Road East section and the Changan-Ba ecological area. Stretching 5.9 kilometers in length and 120 meters in width, the boulevard is designed to facilitate high-capacity traffic flow while fostering regional economic growth and cultural exchange. The project is integral to the Belt and Road Initiative, positioning Xi’an as a key hub for Eurasian cultural integration, in line with China’s ambitious vision for global connectivity.
In the construction of Ouya Boulevard, IEC contributed to the successful completion of this major roadway by supplying its Bridge Rotation Bearing System. This system played a vital role in rotating and aligning bridge superstructures into place, enabling efficient construction in the complex urban environment. IEC's Top-of-Pier Rotation method, with its high reliability, low equipment requirements, and enhanced safety features, was particularly beneficial in this densely populated and traffic-heavy area. By using the system, the project was able to meet strict timeline and safety requirements while minimizing construction disruptions. The application of IEC’s advanced bearing technology ensured the long-term stability and seismic resilience of the infrastructure, supporting the broader mission of promoting Eurasian connectivity through efficient and innovative engineering.
