IEC's mission is to improve structural resilience with its innovative connection solutions and SMARTZ technology. By offering a comprehensive range of connection devices, seismic prevention and vibration damping products, IEC addresses the industry's demands for improved resilience for bridges and buildings. 

IEC was established in 2016 and is headquartered in Panda's hometown, Chengdu, China. IEC focuses on the infrastructure industry with the goals of intelligence and lifelong sustainability. It provides comprehensive solutions for green construction, rapid construction and maintenance, structural and operational safety of bridges, buildings, underground structures. Its product and service range includes bridge bearings, bridge expansion joints, seismic devices, and more importantly, the Smartz technology, a health monitoring system based on the technology of next-generation Internet of Things (IoT), big data and cloud computing.

The company has a registered capital of  15 million USD, a production site of 30,000 square meters, and employs over 250 people. Its annual turnover exceeds 62 million USD. It has obtained various quality certifications, such as ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification, CE certification, and SGS International Welder Certification.

Since its inception, IEC has placed a strong emphasis on expanding and developing international markets. It has established an Overseas Marketing Department composed of professional business and technical personnel who are proficient in international mainstream industry standards such as AASHTO, EN, and BS. Over the years, IEC has engaged in deep strategic cooperation with leading global companies in the industry, of which are USL Group, RPM Inc., Master Builders Solutions, Sanfield, Mageba and so on. Its products and services have been applied in over 20 countries and regions, including the Hong Kong section of the HongKong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the NOH2 Ring Road in Qatar, and the Hollywood Park in Los Angeles in USA. These international projects and practices have turned IEC into a high level specialized company with global vision and experience.

IEC has three major manufacturing bases: the mechanical manufacturing base, the elastomer manufacturing base, and the bridge expansion joint manufacturing base. The total manufacturing area amounts to 30,000 square meters. IEC employs a range of advanced processing methods and techniques, such as CNC machining, intelligent rubber compounding, intelligent vulcanization, and intelligent welding. These ensure that IEC's products and services enjoy an excellent reputation within the industry.

Darcy Wu  伍大成

Founder and Chairman of the Board

Darcy holds a Master's degree in IT from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor's degree in Computerized Control. He founded IEC and took the helm of inventing&promoting IEC’s SMARTZ solutions. As a former Consulting Manager for IBM GBS, he possesses extensive expertise in the field of Information Technology and now he continues to pave the way for IEC’s strategic development and growth. In his spare time, Darcy is a truly tennis lover and player.

Jing Bo  景波

General Manager

Jing Bo holds master of Business Administration (MBA) postgraduate degree with extensive work experience in various positions such as sales, quality, and production management in large state-owned and private enterprises. He possess mature and comprehensive management abilities and skills, responsible for overall management tasks in IEC.

Jason Wang  王剑明

Vice GM, CTO

Dr. Jason Wang holds a doctoral degree in Bridge Structural Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU), renowned as one of China's premier institutions in structural engineering. Prior to his doctorate, he obtained a Master's Degree and Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Currently, Dr. Wang occupies leadership roles as the head of the Technical, Quality Control, and Research & Development departments. His extensive research portfolio encompasses cutting-edge fields such as anti-seismic technology, mechanical engineering, and measurement calibration utilizing big data analytics. Jason joined the company when IEC was founded.

Liang Xin  梁鑫

Division Head

Dr. Liang specializes in the design and analysis of complex structures. Before joining IEC, he had years of engineering design experience in London after graduating from University of Cambridge. He now serves as the division head of seismic isolation and mitigation business.

Hu Meng 胡盟

Chief Engineer (Overseas Market)

Hu Meng is a highly qualified Senior Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering degree from SWJTU. He has extensive experience in mechanical product design, and collaborates closely with the tech team of international partners and consultants, allowing him to develop a deep understanding of international technologies. As International Tech Director, he is responsible for managing complex technical projects and driving innovation in overseas market. Meng joined the company when IEC was founded.

Wang Shaolin, 王少林

Overseas Market Head

Wang Shaolin graduated with a bachelor's degree in Finance from Hubei University, and obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from Yunnan University. With over 20 years of experience in international trade, he specializes in overseas markets in the field of infrastructure construction and has accumulated rich industry experience. He is familiar with the business models and management methods of overseas markets in the infrastructure sector, and has a broad international perspective and commercial insights. Shaolin joined the company when IEC was founded.
