IRD Engineering and Spea Engineering designed Lead-core Rubber Bearing (LRB) as seismic isolators taking earthquake behaviour into consideration. IEC tendered the bidding and eventually won the project due to its sound technical proposal and competitive pricing. The contract is the first large-size one for IEC to supply seismic devices for overseas project. The 512 sets of LRBs were manufactured and supplied to Georgia in 2021-2022.
